Powerful Research Tool

Mini-Cog© has been used in numerous research studies. Studies have used the tool to explore everything from how dementia is diagnosed in primary care to the connections between dementia, cardiac disease, diabetes, cancer, vision and hearing loss, depression, low literacy levels, and other conditions.

Findings have helped inform new studies and initiatives by health care systems, public health institutes, universities, foundations, and other organizations. Where Mini-Cog© has been integrated with electronic medical records, it provides retrievable data that can be used to support clinical quality improvement and help to establish standards and systems for dementia detection and care.
